Akshay Kumar wishes fans Baisakhi in Kesari style

The actor shared a picture of himself decked as a Sikh soldier, with a saffron coloured turban and an emblem to match with his thick, long beard.

Akshay Kumar has wished his fans and followers on Baisakhi by sharing a new picture from his upcoming film Kesari. He captioned the picture with a cheerful message. “Tuhanu saareyaan nu Baisakhi di sohni saver mubarak hove!! Hasde vasde raho!! [Good wishes for Baisakhi to all of you. Be happy and cheerful]," he wrote.

The picture is a close-up of Akshay decked as a Sikh soldier, with a saffron coloured turban and an emblem to match with his thick, long beard.

The bright sun above his head enhances the power and strength of the character.

Kesari is based on the battle of Saragarhi of 1897, where Sikh soldiers, representing the British, valiantly fought against the Afghans. The film went on floors in January this year.

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is directed by Anurag Singh. Singh made his Hindi film debut with Raqeeb in 2007. Following this, he helmed a series of films in Punjabi. His most known films are Jatt & Juliet (2012) and Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013).

Kesari is set to be released during Holi next year.
