Social media posts about Irrfan Khan’s health are false, says spokesperson

The spokesperson of actor Irrfan Khan has released a statement urging people and the media not to take social media posts about Khan's health seriously. There had been posts of Khan's health condition deteriorating floating around, which prompted the statement from Khan's end.
“This latest round of news being spread through social medial in last few days about Irrfan’s health is absolutely false and there’s no truth to it whatsoever. We as his family and friends again request the members of the media to continue their support and the prayers that have come Irrfan’s way,” said the spokesperson.
The spokesperson urged the people not to believe social media posts at face value. “However it’s not right to spread rumours through mediums of social media without fact check or any official validation. In the meanwhile once again we request everyone to refrain from picking up social media statuses as affirmative developments on someone’s health [sic],” added the spokesperson.
The rumours started when a Twitter user from Pakistan named Omer Choudhary posted that Khan would't live for long. The post and its screenshots went viral, worrying fans of the actor. The user has still not deleted his careless tweet.
