Akash Thosar, Radhika Apte look simple, relatable in Anurag Kashyap’s short film: Picture

The film will be a part of the Bombay Talkies anthology sequel titled Lust Series.

In 2013, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar and Dibaker Banerjee came up with an anthology of four short films called Bombay Talkies. The film was dedicated to commemorate 100 years of Indian Cinema and was released on the very day that it completed a century — 3 May 2013.

The four filmmakers have again joined hands for a similar project, called the Lust Series. Interestingly, the one directed by Kashyap has an unusual pairing of Akash Thosar, of Sairat (2016) fame, and Radhika Apte.

A still from the film, featuring both artistes, is simple but manages to generate curiosity. Apte and Thosar look good together.

The still has Thosar standing in the door way and Apte seems to be on a visit. Going by their attire and the surroundings, the story seems to be simple, involving common people.

Following Sairat, Thosar had starred in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi movie FU:Friendship Unlimited last year. The film wasn’t appreciated and didn’t work at the box office either. Therefore, this film holds a lot of importance for him. The actor’s look is different from his two previous films.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Lust Series will be released on Netflix.
