Box office: Hindi Medium bags Rs155 crore in China


The Irrfan Khan-starrer has grossed $23.84 million (Rs155.49 crore) in first week collections in China.

After a bright start, Hindi Medium (2017) has gradually grown at the China box office. The film earned $1.22 million (Rs7.9 crore at the current exchange rate) that helped it gross over Rs150 crore at the China box office. Hindi Medium has grossed $23.84 million (Rs155.49 crore) in first week collections in China.

Hindi Medium review: A hilarious and relevant satire on education

The film, starring actor Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, continued to hold the second place at the China box office. The Indian film still has 50,000 odd shows in China.

After bagging Rs100 crore in three days, Hindi Medium has slowed down, bagging more than Rs50 crore in four days. The China business, though, is way ahead of the India business where it made over Rs90 crore nett. Hindi Medium was made at a modest budget of Rs23 crore.
