It looks like comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has suffered yet another blow. As per a report in The Indian Express, his latest television show Family Time With Kapil has been currently put on hold owing to his mental condition, which has been out in the open after his spat with a senior entertainment journalist.

The report quotes a source saying that although the show did well on viewership, it didn’t have the kind of punch Sharma is usually associated with. According to the source, it did well only because the comedian-actor was returning after a gap of seven months. Right now, the makers only wish for Sharma to get better and hence they won’t be shooting in April.

The source in the report also revealed how cancelling of actress Rani Mukerji’s episode on the show had left them in a spot.

Meanwhile, Sharma's friends and fellow comic artistes have come out in his support. Krushna Abhishek told Mumbai Mirror, “Contrary to what his friends and family believe, there is no malice from my side. I will pray that he is out of this situation soon.”

Bharti Singh, who considers him as her mentor, told The Times of India, “It breaks my heart and makes me cry to see Kapil bhai in this state.”

Kiku Sharda believes that Sharma should be given space. “Those who are pointing at him and saying bad things about him are the same people whom he once entertained. He is the same person who has made the entire country laugh their lungs out and now he needs some space,” he told the publication.

Neeti Simoes, sister of Sharma's ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes, too, came out in his support yesterday in an emotional note on Twitter.
