Filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly and the entire team of Drishtikone are going to take part in an eye donation awareness rally to promote their film. The rally will take place from Sealdah to Esplanade in Kolkata on Friday (13 April).
Drishtikone, which can be translated as perspective, deals with the issue of cornea transplant in the story that revolves around a complex love triangle. It seems Prasenjit Chatterjee, who plays advocate Mitra, goes through the optical surgery in the film.
In the film, Ganguly seems to have linked the various stages and aspects of the relationship between advocate Mitra, his client Mrs Sen (Rituparna Sengupta) and his wife Mrs Mitra (Churni Ganguly), metaphorically with Mr Mitra’s struggles with his eyesight.
Ganguly’s initiative in the social cause has been regarded as a noble one on the pretext of the promotion of the romantic thriller which is set to be released on 27 April.
Drishtikone has already turned into one of most anticipated films of the month since its trailer and songs 'Amar Dukkho' by Anupam Roy and 'Lokkhiti' by Paloma Majumdar were released.
