Bhumi Pednekar, after the success of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, is likely to head to Chambal, located in the border of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, to shoot her next film.

Abhishek Chaubey’s untitled next production is a period action film set in the 1970s dealing with dacoits in the Chambal area. If the speculation is correct, Pednekar will join Sushant Singh Rajput on the film which will begin shooting next year. The film will be produced and directed by Chaubey.

This past May, Chaubey told Cinestaan.com about Rajput’s casting, “I approached him and told him the story. I was surprised and pleasantly so, that he came on board. By the looks of it, he is going to do the film.”

Chaubey is producing the film under his banner, MacGuffin Pictures, and has co-written the script with Sudip Sharma. Chaubey and Sharma earlier worked together on Udta Punjab (2016).

While Bhumi has not signed any other film as yet, Rajput already has his hands full with Chanda Mama Door Ke, Drive and Kedarnath, all slated to be released next year.
