Milan Luthria’s Baadshaho had a decent first weekend at the box office. After receiving an opening of Rs10.10 crore on Friday, the film scored Rs13.50 crore and Rs13 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. The current total of the film, starring Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz and Emraan Hashmi, is Rs36.50 crore.

The film is reportedly made at a high budget of Rs80 crore. In comparison to the budget, the opening weekend figures are not as encouraging. Now, the heist action flick needs to hold well in the weekdays starting today. Needless to say, it can’t afford a big drop.

RS Prasanna’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which was also released with Baadshaho, showed good growth over the weekend. The film opened to low numbers on Friday by earning only Rs2.50 crore. But it earned more than double the next day as it amassed Rs5.50 crore. There was slight growth on Sunday too with collections of Rs6 crore.

Its opening numbers are higher than other content driven recent films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Hindi Medium and Mom. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has got positive word-of-mouth and reviews.
