Social media enables fans to reach out directly to their favourite stars. However, the stars get flooded with hundreds of messages each day and it is practically impossible even for their public relations teams to react to each post.
So how else do you get the attention of your favourite star? Well, you could do something extraordinary that makes you stand out from the rest.
For Indians, it is always fascinating to see foreign nationals imitate Indian stars, enact Indian film scenes, or groove to desi songs. Such efforts also attract attention from the stars.
Thus, Shah Rukh Khan retweeted a video posted by a Twitter user which shows a Southeast Asian woman, probably a Malaysian or Indonesian, lip-synching and grooving to the 'Bole Chudiyan' track from Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
The original was sung by a host of singers — Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan and Amit Kumar.

In the video, the woman seems to have got a grasp of the lyrics, lip-synching quite immaculately. She is better at pulling off the desi moves. All this while travelling in a car.
The Twitter user tagged Shah Rukh Khan and the star responded in his usual witty manner.
