Shweta Tripathi roped in Zoya Akhtar's web-series Made In Heaven


The web-series, co-produced by Zoya Akhtar, will revolve around the competition of two wedding companies.

Shweta Tripathi has joined Zoya Akhtar's upcoming web-series Made In Heaven for the Amazon Prime platform. The 10-episode series is set to focus on the competition between a traditional wedding company and another based on more modern values.

Tripathi, expected to play a bride-to-be, is currently shooting the series in Delhi. Speaking about the show, Tripathi said, "What attracted me to the project was the team. The length of the role doesn't worry me, the quality does. And here, I am in super safe hands. I've been with them for the past week and the cast and crew is simply fabulous! I'm happy to be doing the show."

The actress who shot to fame with her performance in Neeraj Ghaywan's Masaan (2015), and was seen in Haraamkhor earlier this year. She also stars in Shlok Sharma's Zoo that is set to premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October. The actress is set to travel to Benares to begin shooting for her next film.

Amazon Prime has already proved a successful platform with its flagship show, Inside Edge, and is set to roll out several more content driven shows on its platform.
