Denying reports that he had claimed he would be floating a party within 100 days of his announcement of being in politics, actor Kamal Haasan on Monday, 25 September, said that he hadn't decided on the date on which he was to launch the party.
In an interview to an English television channel, Haasan said that he would have to pick a date that was suitable to him and not pick a date that others were presenting to him. "In a previous interview, they started giving me choices of various dates — in 60 days, 30 days, 100 days. I have to agree to one date that is suitable to me. I can't agree because you are presenting it to me. I said, 'I don't know.' Maybe 100 days. Maybe because this is not an easy job for one. Let me not pretend to be a know-all and say it is going to be an easy task."
When asked if his target date was the New Year? Haasan said, "Somewhere around that time, I should be ready but I don't know. I am talking to various people. I am getting advice, roadmaps are still being drafted and we want to be clear in what we say to the people."
