For the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation over who will play the math genius, Anand Kumar, in Vikas Bahl's Super 30. While Toilet: Ek Prem Katha star Akshay Kumar was also reportedly in talks with the director, reports have now confirmed that Hrithik Roshan is all set to play the role in the biopic.
Titled Super 30, the film will focus on the life of Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar, who trains 30 talented students from economically backward classes every year to compete for the IIT and IIM entrance examinations.

2017 has been a good year for Roshan, who received praise for his performance in Kaabil (2017).
The actor even met with Kumar and director Bahl a few weeks ago, generating the first rumours of his involvement in the film.
Writing on his Facebook after the meeting, Kumar said, "Just returned to Patna from Mumbai. But really I can't forget my meeting yesterday with Bollywood (Hindi cinema) star Hrithik Roshan. The way he invited me to his house and gave me the honour really showed that he is not just a great artiste but also a great human being. Thanks Hrithik ji, thanks a lot."
The newspaper Hindustan Times quoted an insider as saying, "The film will show not just what the world knows about Anand, but also his intriguing back story. It will be interesting to see Hrithik get into the skin of this character as it is also very different from what we have seen the actor do on screen before."
Anand Kumar was also quoted saying, "I can totally trust Vikas Bahl with my life’s story as I feel he can put out my story in the best way possible."
The actor is expected to begin shooting for the film in a few days. Super 30 is expected to be released early next year.
