Irrfan Khan's travels have taken him down south. The actor has started shooting for Akarsh Khurana's Karwaan with Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar in Kerala. The actor posted a couple of pictures from the scenic backwaters to add to his travelogue.
Karwaan is a road film that will mark the Hindi debut of Dulquer. The actor, who has already made a mark in films like Vayai Moodi Pesavum (2014) and OK Kanmani (2015), will be making his debut alongside Palkar. The schedule for the film will see the trio shoot in locations in Tamil Nadu and the Kerala regions of Kochi, Thrissur and Kumarakom.

Khan is reportedly playing a quirky middle-aged man who spouts poetry, while Palkar and Dulquer join him on the journey. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Productions, the film will mark the directorial debut of theatre director and writer, Khurana.
Khan, who has already made a mark with his international films, will also be seen in The Puzzle alongside Saba Qamar and Kelly Macdonald. Karwaan is expected to be released in 2018.
