The keenly-awaited first glimpse of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is here. The makers have revealed the first two posters of the film and they are exactly what is expected of Bhansali, grand.

Both posters feature the film’s lead character Deepika Padukone, who plays queen Padmavati of Mewar. She is dressed in royal finery, and since this is a Bhansali film, the feeling of royalty is taken a notch higher.

Padukone's rich costume is striking, and especially her designer saree and veil have the Bhansali stamp of ostentatiousness. She also sports heavy ornaments that are clearly visible in the posters.

In one of the posters, Padukone is seen standing stoically inside a temple. Apart from her attire, the detailing in the rich production and set design can hardly be ignored. The temple has some beautiful human and animal carvings. A couple of temple bells and a few tridents (trishuls) add to the beauty.

All in all, the posters make you curious about the film. The release date of Padmavati has been postponed to 1 December. The film was earlier supposed to be released on 17 November.

The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Looks like their characters will be introduced soon.
