The cruelty of business has altered the length of Hindi film music videos. Yes, there is the complete, extended audio version, but many a time the truncated version is half-baked or simply leaves you salivating for more. The latter situation also evokes a sense of frustration. The 'Sapne Re' song from Secret Superstar is one such track.
Barely two minutes in length, the song ends as quickly as it begins. 'Sapne Re' lulls you into a reverie only to awaken you midway. Kausar Munir has penned another simple track that encourages one to dream. It is backed by a neat, delightful score by Ankit Tiwari. The minimalistic music, the soft guitar tunes, and 15-year-old Meghna Mishra’s voice give a feeling of a virtuoso unplugged performance.
The music is backed by the innocence of Insiya (Zaira Wasim) and her friends, particularly the frail boy with the missing front teeth. You are left craving for more but the song is over in a jiffy. You hope the extended version will be released soon.

Secret Superstar is set to be released on 19th October.
