Mukesh Bhatt shares childhood picture with birthday boy Mahesh Bhatt

Veteran director and producer Mahesh Bhatt turns 69 today. To make the occasion special, his brother, producer Mukesh Bhatt, shared a childhood picture of the two of them together. 

The picture shows the two Bhatts as little kids, wearing simple shirts. Being the elder one, Mahesh is the taller of the two. But it is difficult to guess their age. But going by the picture it seems Mahesh is under 15. 

Mukesh shared a birthday wish for his elder brother with a media statement that read, “The eternal fragrance of our bond is so deep and pure that it gives one the feeling of everlasting existence. Thank you for you. Happy Birthday.” 

Mahesh entered the film arena with Manzilein Aur Bhi Hai in 1974. Mukesh, who has been a producer always, started off with their home production Daddy (1989). The two of them have been making films as a director-producer duo ever since. 

Mahesh was known for making parallel cinema like Arth (1982) and Saaransh (1984). But he later went into the mainstream mode, finally moving on to adult entertainers like Jism (2003) and Murder (2004) at the turn of the millemium. 

Mahesh’s daughters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt also wished their father. On her Instagram page, Alia shared a picture of her father in an unusual get-up and wrote, “My sunshine my rain, my old man who's taught me of love AND pain! The maddest teacher alive. Happy birthday my friend! May we be father daughter in all the lifetimes the universe has to offer.” 

Pooja, on the other hand, shared a couple of images of an old 1998 interview of her father on Twitter along with a caption that read, “These words spoken in 1998 resonate today...Happy Birthday @MaheshNBhatt and thank you for being the father you are to more than your kids!”
