Working with renown British actress Judi Dench is a dream come true for Ali Fazal. The young actor and the veteran actress will be seen together in Victoria and Abdul. The film will have its world premiere at the 74th Venice Film Festival soon.

In an interview with Cinestaan.com, Fazal shared his experience of working with Dench. The onscreen Queen Victoria, apparently, loves India and the Hindi cinema. The actor revealed how Dench danced with him to the 'Mehdni Laga Ke Rakhna' song from Shah Rukh Khan’s romantic classic, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995).

“You wouldn’t think that Judi Dench is so cool, tech savvy, but she is. She is also a fun person. She is humourous, she's got great wit. I think she is like a 16 year old girl,” Fazal said.

So, did Dench use her wit on Fazal, did she pull his leg?

“Oh yeah, so many times. I remember, I had entered the make up truck one day and I blasted 'Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna' on my speakers. I was just dancing and I didn't know she was there, those were one of the first few days. Suddenly, she too started dancing as well and t was fun. She was teaching me full Indian dance and all. It was really cute,” said Fazal.

Dench is known for her potrayal of M in the James Bond movies. The British actress has also shot in India for her 2011 film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
