It was recently known that Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu will be cast opposite each other in a film based on the love life of Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh.

The yet-to-be titled film will be directed by Shaadi Ali, whose last film Ok Jaanu released earlier this year.

Now, it is learnt that the latest addition to the cast is actor Angad Bedi. As per reliable sources, the actor will be playing the role of a hockey player and will most probably play Sandeep’s brother Bikramjeet. He will reportedly get some training in the sport for his role.

Speaking about Bedi’s role, a source said, “An important part of the story revolves around the two brothers, with the older one making Sandeep realize what hockey really means to him. Bikramjeet even trained Sandeep in the early years. Angad will be meeting Bikramjeet to understand his character well, who will also train him while Sandeep will work with Diljit on his game.”

Apart from getting trained in hockey, Bedi will also be involved in script reading sessions. “Angad is also expected to attend script reading sessions. The first schedule will most probably begin in Mumbai. The recee for other locations in currently underway,” added the source.

Bedi and Pannu had earlier worked together in Pink (2016), directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. Bedi also stars in the keenly awaited Tiger Zinda Hai.
