Ajay Devgn, Tabu set to reunite for rom-com next Dussehra

After working in back-to-back action films, Shivaay (2016) and Baadshaho (2017), Ajay Devgn is taking up some lighter fare. Devgn returns to the Golmaal franchise this Diwali for the fourth installment, Golmaal Again. Meanwhile, the actor is already looking ahead to next year with the recent announcement that he will star with actress Tabu in the yet untitled rom-com due to be released next Dussehra, 19 October 2018.

Editor Akiv Ali, who has edited Kaabil (2017) and the upcoming Ittefaq remake, will be making his directorial debut with the film. Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg are co-producing the project. Luv Films announced the project on Twitter stating, "Let's make Dussehra '18 special with our @ajaydevgn starrer rom-com releasing on Oct 19, 2018".

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also confirmed the announcement and revealed that the film will also feature one more actress. Perhaps the rom-com has a love triangle?

Tabu, who is also starring with Devgn in the upcoming Golmaal Returns (2017), was last seen onscreen with Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor (2016). Co-incidentally, Devgn too had a cameo in the adaptation of Great Expectations. Devgn and Tabu first appeared as co-stars in Vijaypath (1994). They also worked together on Haqeeqat (1995), Thakshak (1999) and Drishyam (2015).
