Actor Silambarasan, famously called Simbu, whose last film Anbanavan Asarathavan Adangathavan (2017) took a beating at the box office, seems all set to bounce back with two movies back-to-back.
He is to work on an English project with director Gautham Menon and ace cameraman Santosh Sivan first, followed by a film with none other than Mani Ratnam.
Although, it was known that Simbu was doing both these films, the dates hadn't been confirmed.
Now, sources say the actor will begin work on his English film in October.
"As Santosh Sivan sir was busy with Spyder and Gautham Menon sir was busy with Dhurva Natchathiram, Simbu was waiting to start the English project. Now, the dates have been locked. The project commences from October end and will be completed by December," the source said.
After the project's completion in December, Simbu will join Mani Ratnam's unit in January, 2018.
"STR, after completing this project by December will move on to Mani Ratnam sir's multilingual project in which he plays the lead character. With everything that is happening, Simbu is in high spirits and really happy," the source added.
