A major fire broke out today, 16 September, at the RK Studio in Chembur, Mumbai, starting at around 3 pm. According to reports, the fire has been brought under control with the help of six fire tenders and five water tankers.
RK Studios is one of the oldest film studios in the city, started by the legendary actor-director-producer Raj Kapoor in 1948.
As per latest reports, the fire broke out as a result of a short circuit during some electrical wiring work. The incident has damaged hall number one, where the shoot of television show Super Dancer has been going on for the past few days. No casualties or injuries have been reported, as none of the crew members from the show were present today.
