The recently released teaser trailer shows Vidya as a housewife, Sulochana aka Sulu, who is learning the ropes as she aims to become a radio jockey. The first look is utterly charming and Balan shines as the irrepressible Sulu. Besides Balan, Tumhari Sulu also stars Manav Kaul, Vijay Maurya, Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka.

Had it released on 1 December, Tumhari Sulu would have gone up against Umesh Shukhla's 102 Not Out starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor. The film features Bachchan as a 102-year-old father and Rishi as his 75-year-old son.
Now, Tumhari Sulu will hit the screens with Tera Intezaar, starring Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan; and Drishyam Films' Kadvi Hawa, which has already been honoured with a special mention at this year's National Awards. Kadvi Hawa is directed by Nila Madhab Panda and stars Sanjai Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Tillotama Shome. The Hollywood animated feature film, Coco, by the Oscar-winning studio, Pixar, is also due to be released on 24 November.
