MAMI 2017: Irrfan Khan’s The Song of Scorpions part of official selection

Directed by Anup Singh, the film stars Khan with Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani in a story set in Rajasthan.

Earlier this year’s Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium (2017) charmed audiences with its all-too-real story about the struggle of Indian parents trying to enroll their children in a good school. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long for his next film. The Song of Scorpions, directed by Anup Singh, has been selected for the 19th Mumbai Film Festival this October. The announcement was made earlier today on the festival's Twitter handle.

The film will most probably be screened under the Spotlight section, instated in 2016. According to the festival Facebook page, the Spotlight section features only premiere films.
