The soundtrack of Bhoomi is tinged with the heavy emotional component of the film, and the latest song, 'Kho Diya', is no different. Sachin-Jigar deliver a soft, emotional composition that makes a mark on the listener.

Sung by Sachin Sanghvi, 'Kho Diya' has a touch of Sufi which works perfectly with the low pitch of Sanghvi's voice. The mellow composition is in keeping with the theme of the song, which is that of loss, misunderstanding, and the struggle to protect a relationship.

While the song floats in the background, the visuals show the sights of Bhoomi (Aditi Rao Hydari) and her fiance (Sidhant Gupta) struggling to come to terms with their relationship after her rape. At the same time. there is the equation between Bhoomi and her father (Sanjay Dutt) who face a long and uphill battle against the people around them.

The lyrics by Priya Saraiya stray from a rhythmic template sometimes, but portray the struggle of loss with sensitivity. Sanghvi's soothing voice helps convey the meaning of the lyrics a lot more effectively, adding to the whole composition.

Directed by Omung Kumar, Bhoomi is set to be released on 22 September.
