Shreyas Talpade’s directorial debut Poster Boys, which is the remake of the hit Marathi film Poshter Boyz, has generated low collections on its first weekend.

Poster Boys review: A madcap desi entertainer
Poster Boys opened with only Rs1.75 crore on Friday, 8 September. The film showed a decent jump on Saturday and Sunday as it earned Rs2.50 crore and Rs3 crore, respectively.
The film is reportedly made at a budget of Rs30 crore. The earnings made so far suggests that the film might face a steep challenge ahead.
Ashim Ahluwalia’s Daddy has fared even worse on the box office. The Arjun Rampal starrer, which is based on the life of gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, has earned a paltry sum of Rs4.50 crore in its first weekend.
After opening with a small number of Rs1.25 crore on Friday, the film showed no growth in the next two days, making only Rs1.50 crore on Saturday and Rs1.75 crore on Sunday.
