Box office: Golmaal Again bags Rs29.75 crore nett in second weekend, eyes Rs200 crore nett


Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer looks good to the touch the Rs200 crore nett mark in domestic business; Secret Superstar reaches Rs50 crore nett mark

It’s getting hard to put brakes on the Golmaal Again juggernaut. The Rohit Shetty directorial made Rs29.75 crore nett in its second weekend, thereby taking its nett domestic box collection to Rs165.68 crore nett, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Golmaal Again had pocketed Rs7crore nett on Friday (27 October), and it improved over the weekend, with Rs10.50 crore on Saturday and Rs12.25 crore nett on Sunday, respectively. 

The mutli-starrer film is made at an estimated budget of Rs130 crore and has released across 3,500 screens in India. The film has already emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film of 2017 so far.   

There is one big release in Dharma Productions’ Ittefaq and then there is Hollywood super hero flick Thor Ragnarak in the coming weeks. Golmaal Again will hope to add Rs35 crore nett and become the first Bollywood film this year so far to touch the Rs200-crore nett mark.

Meanwhile, the much-acclaimed Secret Supeststar managed to touch the Rs50-crore mark. The film made Rs9.25 crore nett in its second weekend, thereby taking its total to Rs50.41 crore nett. Secret Superstar is made at estimated budget of Rs24 crore (excluding Aamir Khan’s fees), and it released across 1,600 screens in India.
