Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma will be teaming up for the first time in Yash Raj Films’ Sui Dhaaga - Made In India. As per the title, the film is based on prime minister Narendra Modi’s Make In India campaign, which encourages making products in India.
Mahatma Gandhi, who is known as the father of the nation, was the first to promote the idea of 'swadeshi' during India’s freedom struggle. So, on his birth anniversary, which was yesterday, Dhawan and Sharma shared a video on Gandhi.
The video has the two actors giving a lyrical narration on the qualities of the Indian freedom fighter. They highlight and applaud Gandhi’s initiatives to promote the importance of 'swadeshi' and his contribution in making India free from the British.
The two of them feature in simple white clothes, which goes with the theme of the video. But what impresses the most are the visuals of a needle and thread sewing an outline of Gandhi on a piece of cloth.
Sui Dhaaga is Sharat Katariya’s next directorial venture after the successful Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) with the same production house. Filmmaker Maneesh Sharma is looking after the production on behalf of YRF.
