The collections of the film on Monday were higher than its day one collection, which is a positive sign. The film hit Rs40 crore over a four-day period and makes it a rare hit, in a year of average collections. The long weekend, including the holiday for Gandhi Jayanti (2 October), has helped the film bring in footfalls. However, it needs a strong week to sustain the collection and cross the Rs100-crore mark.

According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film's weekend collections saw it enter the top 20 weekend collections of all time. The film, starring Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu, Jacqueline Fernandez, pipped Salman Khan's Jai Ho (2014) to enter the top 20 ranks.

The collections for Judwaa 2 are as follows.

Friday - Rs16 crore approx.

Saturday - Rs20 crore approx.

Sunday - Rs22 crore approx.

Monday - Rs18 crore approx.

TOTAL - Rs76.25 crore approx.

The other big film of the weekend, Newton, slowed down its growth managing a collection of Rs3.75 crore. The film has now managed Rs15.51 crore over a span of two weeks.
