Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar enthral Dubai at 2.0 music launch: See pictures

The music launch of Director S Shankar’s 2.0 was looked forward to for several reasons. It was touted to be one of the grandest movie events for an Indian film. The launch was to take place in Dubai instead of India. The film’s stellar cast of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar along with the music maestro AR Rahman were to be present at the event.

Going by the pictures and the videos shared by the makers, the event did live up to the expectations, with grand sets, fireworks and a huge team of dancers. 

The highlight of the event was, of course, the grand entry of Rajini thalaiva. The superstar received a grand welcome much to the delight of his fans. Amy Jackson, the leading lady, gave a dance performance in her superhero outfit. 

But despite Rajinikanth’s presence, Akshay managed to turn heads with his entry. He arrived on a crane with two huge wings. The video of the same was shared by the makers on their Twitter page. 

A music launch is incomplete without a musical performance. Rahman and Sivamani treated the crowd to some quality tunes. 

The host of the evening was filmmaker Karan Johar.

2.0, which is the sequel to Robot (2010), is all set to release on 25 January 2018.
