The much-delayed Dabangg 3 will finally go on floors next year. Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan confirmed the same at a promotional event for his next, Tera Intezaar, on Wednesday.
When asked about the status of Dabangg 3 starring brother Salman Khan, Arbaaz replied, “We have started scripting the film and I think we will start shooting Dabangg 3 by the middle of next year.”
Arbaaz was also asked whether he would cast his Tera Intezaar co-actor Sunny Leone for a item number like 'Munni Badnaam Hui' in Dabangg (2010).
"Yes. Why not? And why would she be a Munni, we can cast her for something different, but for that, we have to finalize something," Arbaaz said.
Arbaaz had acted in and produced both films, while also directing the second one after director Abhinav Kashyap had a fallout with Salman and Arbaaz.
Dabangg 2 released in 2012. While Salman will return as Chulbul Pandey, there is no word on who will be the heroine. There had been talk that actress Sonakshi Sinha, who played Rajjo in the earlier films, had a fallout with Salman. However, Sinha had kept mum over the issue.
Arbaaz, in an interview with a leading newspaper in August 2016, had confirmed, "Sonakshi is going to be a part of Dabangg 3, in what capacity that is to be seen when the script is ready. But there might also be a possibility of another heroine in the film."
There’s also been talk of Parineeti Chopra being linked with Dabangg 3, which might have two actresses.
