Actress Sunny Leone's popularity is never in doubt in India, but there is only so much a popular appeal can achieve. The trailer from Sunny's latest film, Tera Intezaar, is one that does not look worthy of any fan's time. Directed by Raajeev Walia, the trailer carries the tackiness and ham handed treatment that might dissuade any fan from watching the movie.

The trailer, and the plot, seem simple enough. Arbaaz Khan is the rich, millionaire artist who falls in love with the bubbly Sunny. They are well on their way to marriage, but Sunny's past catches up with her. The meeting comes at a fatal cost to Khan's character, who goes missing. Up steps Sunny, who sets out in search of her lost love.

The trailer seems to be having too many things going on. From the sultriness of Sunny to the wooden expressions of Khan, it soon segues into accidents — the sight of Sunny running through incredibly fake locations in style. There is also a hint of the supernatural with an apparition moving towards the screen at the end.

Tera Intezaar is set to be released on 24 November.
