The huge number of fans of superstar Salman Khan were looking forward to Diwali since the makers of Tiger Zinda Hai had announced that they would be releasing the first poster of the film.
As promised, the first poster is out and it does increase the anticipation for the film. Shared by Khan himself, it features him alone, i.e. without the film’s leading lady Katrina Kaif.
The poster has half of his face covered by a high-tech gun. It must be a still from an action scene as one can see a wound on the actor’s forehead. One can also see Khan’s iconic scarf, which he had worn in the first film of the series, Ek Tha Tiger (2012).

The poster also carries a new punchline — ‘No one hunts like a wounded tiger.’ The first film ended with Khan and Kaif’s characters traveling across the world secretly. Both RAW and ISI, the agencies for which they worked, were left behind thinking that they are killed. But, it seems their past has returned to haunt them in the sequel and they are compelled to fight.
Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan, but Tiger Zinda Hai is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, whose last film Sultan (2016) also had Salman as the lead. The actor had confessed in the television chat show, Koffee With Karan, that he wasn’t happy with how Ek Tha Tiger had shaped up, even though, it was a blockbuster. Hence, it is understandable why Kabir didn’t want to direct the sequel.
Tiger Zinda Hai is all set to be released on 22 December.
