He believes that given the difference in their subject matter, Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar could both work at the box office together.

Ajay Devgn’s tryst with Diwali clashes continues with Golmaal Again. The film is releasing alongside Aamir Khan’s own production Secret Superstar.
In 2009, Devgn’s All The Best clashed with Akshay Kumar's Blue and Salman Khan's Main Aur Mrs Khanna, on 16 October. Then, the Golmaal actor had emerged victorious.
A few years later, his film Son Of Sardaar (2012) battled with Yash Chopra’s last film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, on the big screen on 13 November.
Further, during last Diwali, Shivaay, which was directed and produced by Devgn, besides playing the lead role, had a clash with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on 28 October. The last two Diwali outings didn’t turn out well for Devgn.
But, he seems to be confident time around, even when his next Golmaal Again is to clash with the much hyped Secret Superstar. He believes that, both the films would work on the box office. This doesn’t come as a surprise after looking at the recent bonding between Devgn and Aamir.
When asked about the clash, he told BollywoodLife.com in a video, “There is no 'clash.' Just one hour ago I was with Aamir. We were sitting and chatting. I mean, both films are completely different. So many times it has happened that both films have worked at the same day. And I am sure on Diwali there is scope. When two films are completely different, people want to watch both the films.”
Devgn’s last clash with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil turned out to be bitter. This also ensured a fallout between his wife Kajol and Johar, who were long time friends.
