Hema Malini is set to reveal all about her life through her biography Beyond the Dream Gir, written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. The book was launched by the present day star Deepika Padukone in Mumbai last evening.
As per a report by news agency, Press Trust of India, Mailini spoke about her relationship with her stepson Sunny Deol.
Dharmendra and Malini had converted to Islam to get married, as the actor’s first wife Parkash Kaur’s refused to divorce him. Sunny and Bobby Deol are Dharmendra’s children from the first marriage.
It is, therefore, not surprising that the Deol brothers have seldom been seen together with their stepmother. The brothers were not even spotted at the wedding of Malini’s daughter Ahana in 2012.
Malini though maintained she’s always had cordial relationships with her step-sons. In fact, the Sholay (1975) actress said that she shares a beautiful relationship with Sunny Deol.
“Everyone wonders what kind of a relationship we (Sunny and I) are having. It is very beautiful and cordial. Whenever it is necessary he (Sunny) is always there, along with Dharamji, especially when this accident happened,” said Malini.
The actress was touched by the concern shown by her stepson when she met with an accident in Rajasthan in 2015.
"He (Sunny) was the first person to come and see me at home and he saw that the right doctor is there for the stitches that were done on my face. I was really taken aback to see him showing so much interest. That shows what kind of a relationship we are having," Malini explained.
While Malin’s daughters were present on the occasion, Dharmendra gave the event a miss.
