Actor Aditya Pancholi has sent a legal notice to actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel. Ranaut had said that Pancholi was obsessive nature and abusive, in an interview to news channel India TV.
“The legal team sent Kangana and her sister Rangoli notices, but their response wasn't up to the mark. We asked them to apologise unconditionally on the same national platforms where Kangana made those derogatory remarks against me. Eventually, her sister and she dragged even my son, daughter and wife into all this. That's the reason Zarina (wife) and I decided to file a defamation case against her, which is both civil and criminal,” Pancholi told Bombay Times.
When Cinestaan.com contacted Ranaut’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui, he confirmed the news. “We have received a legal notice from Pancholi and we’ve already responded to it. I wouldn’t like to comment anything.”
Slamming Ranaut and her sister, Pancholi stated that he was forced to take the legal route to protect the integrity of his family.
“I'm not doing anything undignified. Kangana has no right to talk about my family and me in such a manner. Why should I shut up? If I don't fight for my family, who will? If someone makes remarks about my family, should I lock myself up in a room and sit tight? Someone has to put an end to her lies, and the only way to do it is through the law. I don't want to stoop to her level."
When she started her career in the mid 2000s, Pancholi was a mentor to Ranaut. The duo were romantically linked, and years later Ranaut alleged that Pancholi had become possessive about her, and he had once even assaulted her in public.
