It looks like Vidya Balan's energy is propelling Tumhari Sulu's release closer with every passing day. After the film's release date was advanced to 24 November, it seems the makers are in a hurry to get the film out even earlier. It has now been confirmed that the Vidya-starrer will be released on 17 November.

The film, directed by Suresh Triveni, was set to be released on 1 December. However, with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati set for the same release date, it seemed logical that the makers of Tumhari Sulu prepone the film to 24 November. However, the makers of the film have now advanced the date further to 17 November, another fairly empty week at the box office.

The film's trailer has already generated some buzz for Vidya's quirky portrayal of a housewife who lands a job as a late night radio jockey.

Speaking at the recent Movie Mela organised in the run-up to the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2017, Vidya said, "Sulu is such an 'enthu cutlet'."

The actress also admitted that she enjoyed the role since for the first time she was playing 'a character who smiles and laughs as much.'

Tumhari Sulu is produced by Ellipsis Entertainment.
