There have been various reports about Jhanvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar being cast in the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat, to be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Although the makers haven’t made an official announcement yet, producer Boney Kapoor, father of Jhanvi, had mentioned that his daughter will be launched with Sairat.
As per a source close to the film, the two youngsters have already started preparing for the film. “Jhanvi and Ishaan are currently busy rehearsing for their respective characters in the Hindi remake of Sairat,” said the source. Ishaan is actor Shahid Kapoor's half-brother and will be making his film debut with Majid Majidi's India-set film Beyond The Clouds.
Majid Majidi's process of finalizing the look was incredibly detailed: Ishaan Khattar

Our source confirmed this news and also added that the film will be officially announced before that. “Sairat will be announced officially in 2-3 weeks time,” said the source.
Reports suggest that Shashank Khaitan has been roped in as the director. However, when asked, he neither confirmed nor denied.
But our source has confirmed that Khaitan will indeed direct the film. “It is confirmed that Shashank Khaitan will be directing it,” he said.
Khaitan has so far made Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2013) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) for Johar’s production house.
Directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, the original Marathi film starred Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in the lead. The pair became popular overnight after the film was released.
