Actor Kamal Haasan, who turns 63 today, will not celebrate his birthday this year.
The actor chose to cancel his birthday celebrations in the wake of the distress caused by the recent rains in the state. The state of Tamil Nadu has been suffering under the onslaught of severe rains and floods.
Instead, he will visit a medical camp, which has been set up by his Narpani Iyakkam (Welfare Movement) at Annapoorna Marriage Hall in Avadi. Haasan will then visit rain affected areas at Naryanapuram, Kolathur Road and Pallikaranai. The actor is also scheduled to address a press conference by around 12.
Sources close to the actor suggest that he will be reaching out to the people with his special message and plans for the future.
Late last night, the actor took to Twitter to convince fans who were disappointed with his decision to not celebrate his birthday.
He tweeted, 'To those who love me and dislike the idea of my cancelling my birthday celebrations
"Tomorrow, is just another day
If you just celebrate and fail to seize it.
If we can make it better in pursuit of a cause
Then we become the change we seek"
It may be recalled that the actor has made it clear that he will be starting a political party. Analysts and political pundits are eagerly awaiting the announcement. There have been rumours that the actor is likely to make some major announcements regarding his political career today.
