Actress Kriti Kharbanda is not amused by TV actress Hina Khan's comments on Bigg Boss 11 where she claimed that she turned down two films from the south Indian film industry because the makers wanted her to bulk up.

"In the south, they want female actors who are bulging. This is the reason why I refused two big films. They want actors who can wear a sari and the fat is seen bulging.” Khan said in one of the episodes of Bigg Boss.

Khan was then heard saying further that she refused two plum offers. “They do pay a lot. I said no to two films out of which I regret refusing one. It was with Venkatesh, the actor who was cast opposite Karisma Kapoor in Anari (1993) and Mahesh Babu. It was a super hit film. The actors had come together on screen after years,” she said.

Kharbanda, who started her career with south Indian cinema, hasn't taken too kindly to Khan's comments. Kharbanda was last seen in the 2017 Kannada film, Masti Gudi.

"I don't agree with her. I have only one thing to tell her, if you don't want to work, then sit at home. No one is forcing you," said Kharbanda.

"I don't understand her comments. Rajkummar Rao put on weight for Bose: Dead/Alive (digital show), does he now belong to south cinema? Samantha, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah Bhatia, myself. We are all very fit. We are very hot, and we are all superstars there. Now deal with it." concluded Kharbanda.

Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, starring Rajkummar and Kharbanda, and is set to be released on 10 November.
