Shoojit Sircar's October, starring Varun Dhawan and newcomer Banita Sandhu, has finished its shooting schedule. October, which was shot in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh, completed filming in Manali 38 days before schedule.

Actor Varun Dhawan posted a picture of the entire crew on Twitter with caption, "#October wraps in November. Will release in April and will stay with you forever".

Sircar was relieved and happy to wrap up ahead of time. In a press release, he said, "Since our last schedule was in Manali — the weather would have gotten really cold if there were any delays, but thanks to our fabulous cast and crew we managed to conclude well in time."

The director also spoke about his two leads — Dhawan and Sandhu. The director is working with Dhawan for the first time in this film. He shared, "I think Varun is very bright. He is trying to open up to different genres. Actors should keep exploring different genres, stories and directors. At the end of the day, you have to challenge yourself and Varun does just that.”

Sircar has previously worked with Banita Sandhu and chose her for October after it. "She had acted in one of my earlier commercials; the ad not just turned out to be really good but we also found the character that we were looking for in her. I'm very happy with her performance as an actor.”

Furthermore, he noted that the casting of Dhawan and Sandhu added something special to the project. “When it comes to the genre of romance, it is always beautiful to see a fresh pairing. Something about seeing their chemistry blossom through the reels of the film, makes you feel a part of their journey from the very beginning," he said.

Producer Ronnie Lahiri of Rising Sun Films said the crew will return back to Mumbai for the film's post-production schedule and ready the film for its April 2018 release date.

Written by Juhi Chaturvedi, October is touted to be a slice of life love story dealing with human emotions.
