Getting 'inspired' is an ancient tradition in the field of music. Vishal-Shekhar ended up on the wrong side of this challenge when some sharp eared listeners on Twitter discovered what could be one of the 'inspirations' for the hit track, 'Swag Se Swagat', from Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif.

While the making video of the song emphasized the work that had gone into the composition, with Vishal-Shekhar even pointing out that they threw out six months' worth of work to create a whole new song in a week. It was Salman Khan's swagger and Katrina Kaif's style that literally put the song on the top of music charts within a week.

However, multiple reports now suggest that the song has been lifted from DJ Katch's 'The Horns'. As soon as the news broke, social media took to different platforms to vent its anger at composers Vishal-Shekhar.

While the 'The Horns' is faster in rhythm and has more percussion than Vishal-Shekhar's composition, it does bear some striking similarities with the Tiger Zinda Hai song. The signature element of the trumpet, and the style of the vocals might seem quite familiar to Indian listeners. Even the build-up at the opening of the track is a familiar theme.

However, Vishal-Shekhar's composition differs in terms of the pacing and the longer vocals involved in the track.

Twitter certainly did not take kindly to this. Several users decided to tag Vishal-Shekhar accusing them of lifting the composition.

Despite the growing clamour, the song remains one of the most popular chartbusters to hit the internet in the last few weeks. Having already crossed 2 million views on YouTube, 'Swag Se Swagat' is set to follow the tradition of hit chartbusters in Salman Khan blockbusters.

Tiger Zinda Hai is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is set to be released on 15 December.
