After Aagaya Hero, which released earlier this year, Govinda has now started working on his next film, FryDay. The comedy film with an unusual and quirky title is directed by Abhishek Dogra and it also stars Varun Sharma, Prabhleen Sandhu and Digangana Suryavanshi.
The film is scheduled to be shot on a start-to-finish schedule in Delhi for 35 days. The film went on floors last week.
Sharma is known for his character Choocha in Fukrey (2013). The second instalment of the film will be released in December. He was also seen in Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan. Sandhu has been seen in Sixteen (2013) and Hansal Mehta’s highly acclaimed Shahid (2013), which starred Rajkummar Rao (then Rajkumar Yadav) in the lead. Suryavanshi, on the other hand, is making her debut.
This is Dogra’s second movie. He had made his directorial debut with Dolly Ki Doli (2015), which starred Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar, Sharma and Pulkit Samrat.
Coming back to Govinda, Aagaya Hero was panned universally and the film literally bombed at the box office. The actor would be hoping to make amends with FryDay.
The film’s producer, Sajid Qureshi also has Nanu Ki Jaanu in pipeline with Abhay Deol.
