Tiff between CV Kumar and Gopuram Films over, Maayavan to be released soon

Lawyers of Gopuram Films have handed over the the no-objection certificate and have promised to return financial documents to CV Kumar.

All is finally well for producer-director CV Kumar 's Maayavan, starring Sundeep Kishan, Lavanya Tripathi and Jackie Shroff. It may be recalled that the producer, who owns Thirukumaran Entertainment, had filed a complaint with the Chennai police commissioner on 26 September against Gopuram Films.

In the complaint, Kumar had requested the cops to help him secure the financial documents he had given to Gopuram Films, and get a no-objection certificate from them, to release his film. 

He has now announced that his complaint stands 'null and void'. 

In a new development, lawyers of Gopuram Films have handed over the the no-objection certificate and have promised to return said documents. The producer will now be able to release Maayavan. 

Kumar, known for producing films like, Saala Khadoos (2016), Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum (2016), Pizza (2012), among others, said, "Today, the advocates of Gopuram Films produced the no-objection certificate in Ravi Prasad Lab to release the movie Maayavan and promised the return of my financial documents. As the purpose of the complaint has been accomplished technically, the complaint becomes null and void."

The producer turned director has also stated that with the no-objection certification obtained, the film will soon hit the screens.
