Box office: Golmaal Again closes in on Raees's worldwide collection

Golmaal Again has enjoyed a great run at the domestic box office thus far, bagging Rs175 crore nett till Tuesday, 31 October. The Rohit Shetty film has also been making steady progress in its worldwide collection. It has so far earned a total of Rs265 crore, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
Golmaal Again review: Scores well in the first half, then goes downhill
The film's total is getting near the worldwide collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and might soon emerge as the highest grossing Hindi film of 2017 so far.
As per trade sources, Golmaal Again has released across 3,500 screens in India, and 732 screens abroad.
Raees had released across 3,400 screens worldwide (700 overseas). It had bagged a gross overseas collection of $14.1 million (approximately Rs91 crore at current exchange rate).
For Ajay Devgn this is a second film after Singham Returns (2014) to gross Rs200 crore worldwide. Singham Returns had grossed Rs216.50 crore.
Golmaal Again will face tough competition starting this Frdiay with two big releases — Dharma Productions' Ittefaq and the Hollywood film Thor Ragnarok.
