Dibakar Banerjee's return to directing has already got people curious. After the first look of a serious Arjun Kapoor in a police uniform from the film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was released last week, it is time for the film's lead heroine, Parineeti Chopra, to make her appearance. The actress's first look from Banerjee's film was released by the producers, Yash Raj Films, today.

Dressed in a pinstriped shirt and a suit, the actress looked to be playing the powerful woman in the corporate world. Chopra, who is actually a business graduate from the Manchester Business School, is reportedly playing a 'never-before-seen avatar' in the film.
Speaking to the daily, Hindustan Times, Chopra said, "I’m playing a fiercely ambitious girl from the corporate world. She is the perfect example of how you would describe a girl, who has a single-point-focus on her career. She is based in Delhi and is extremely clear of what she wants from life."

The actress went on to add, "It’s true that it has been a new experience for me with regards to films but [in real-life], I have been a banker before I came [back] to India. So, I am trying to use those (real-life) experiences and bring them into my character. At the same time, our (director Dibakar Banerjee and her) endeavour is to present a completely new avatar of mine that hasn’t been seen before, so it is very challenging."
Praising her co-star, Arjun Kapoor, Chopra said the chemistry between the two is good because they have been friends for a long time. She said, "I think if I wasn’t working with a friend like Arjun, I would have had been way more nervous. Arjun has been a friend for so many years now. I really appreciate the kind of comfort level and equal relationship I have had with him."
The actress will be seen alongside Kapoor again in Namastey Canada, directed by Vipul Shah, which will go on the floors right after Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
