Manoj Kumar happy with Ranveer Singh's imitation of him

After Shah Rukh Khan, the Bajirao Mastani actor tried imitating Manoj Kumar's style.

Around 10 years ago, Shah Rukh Khan mimicked veteran actor Manoj Kumar in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om (2007), which did not impress Kumar.

In one of the scenes, Khan’s character allegedly mocked Kumar by posing by enacting Kumar's signature pose. The Purab Aur Paschim (1970) star got so annoyed with the spoof that he knocked the doors of the court to avenge the ‘insult.’

Now, Ranveer Singh has done the same. Not in a film but in a picture shared by him on his Instagram page. The Bajirao Mastani (2015) actor is seen putting his hand over his face in the Manoj Kumar style. His caption made it even more clear, “Workin' the Manoj Kumar.” [sic]

However, Kumar has no problems this time around. In fact, he has gone ahead and lauded Singh for the picture. In a conversation with tabloid, Mid-Day, the veteran actor said, “I have seen the snapshot. He has done a good job of imitating me. I laughed a lot when I saw the picture. Ranveer is on the right track.”

However, not stopping here, Kumar also took the opportunity to once again criticize Khan's act, which he feels was below the belt. “What Shah Rukh did was hitting below the belt, what Ranveer did was in good taste,” he added.
