Priyanka Chopra: New York truck ‘terror’ attack happened five blocks from my home

America saw yet another barbaric incident of ‘terror’ when a man in a truck rammed into cyclists and pedestrians, killing eight and injuring several others. As per reports, he took his rented pick-up truck onto a bicycle path and committed the heinous act.
Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is in the US currently to shoot her TV series Quantico, has said that the incident happened just five blocks away from her residence. She also condemned the attack and offered condolences to the victims.
“Nyc.. As resilient as ever. I u. My condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy. This happened 5 blocks from my home,As I drive back home from work,Dreary sirens remind me that this is the state of the world #nyc #peace,” [sic] she said in a couple of tweets.

Chopra was shooting for Quantico just hours before the incident took place. She recently finished shooting a schedule of the series in Italy.
Bill de Blassio, mayor of New York has described the incident as an act of terror. “This was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror aimed at innocent civilians,” he said in a media statement.
According to reports, Britain, France and Germany have seen similar vehicle attacks in recent months.
