Script for Salman Khan’s next with Barjatya in progress, confirms MD of Rajshri Productions

Earlier in the year, filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya revealed that his next film will be with Salman Khan again. But he had also added that he was yet to start writing the script of the film yet. There had been no update about the project since. 

But now, it is confirmed that Khan is indeed a part of Rajshri Productions’ next and the script is very much in progress. This was revealed exclusively to Cinestaan.com by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, uncle of Sooraj and the Managing Director of Rajshri Productions. 

When asked whether it is confirmed that the Sultan actor is on board for their next project, he said, “Yes, he is. Salman has been very keen to work with him (Sooraj Barjatiya) again. After Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, he was insisting that we should start our next film immediately. He always has first preference for us. Sooraj ji is working on the script. The script is being written right now. Sooraj takes a lot of time to get the script ready,” said Kamal Kumar Barjatya. 

Salman-Sooraj Barjatya combo has had a terrific success record. So far, they have joined hands in films like Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). 

Apart from the yet untitled film with Salman, the production house will also be coming up with some other projects. “We are working on 3-4 scripts. And we will be launching very shortly. Maybe by the second half of the year,” said the MD.
