Farhan Akhtar's Lucknow Central to clash with Kangana Ranaut's Simran on 15 Sept.

As an actor, Farhan Akhtar has struggled after delivering a stellar performance in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013). The actor, who was last seen in Rock On 2 (2016), will be seen next in Ranjit Tiwari's Lucknow Central. The film is set to be released on 15 September, which is also the day Kangana Ranaut’s Simran is scheduled to be released.

Akhtar announced the release date via Twitter.

Lucknow Central is set in a jail and Akhtar's character is an inmate who forms his own music band in the jail. Lucknow Central jail is situated in Shekhpur, Lucknow. Director Tiwari and the producers had made a massive replica of the jail in Mumbai.

Apart from Akhtar, the film also stars Ronit Roy and Diana Penty.

Let's wait and watch if Akhtar can deliver another good performance after the Filmfare Award-winning Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
