The latest stills of Karthi’s upcoming film Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru are out. The film, a thriller police drama, will be actor's first release post Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai (2017).
The film has quite the buzz going for it as it is a cop story based on true incidents. In addition, the film is being directed by Vinoth, who helmed the critically acclaimed Sathuranga Vettai (2014).
The team, which has been shooting in various parts of North India including Jaisalmer and Bhuj for some time now, says they are on the verge of completing the film.
Producer S R Prabhu confirmed the status of the project by taking to Twitter today. He tweeted, “TheeranAdhigaaramOndru in final stage of shooting! Will be a new police experience!!”
Karthi plays the tough cop in the film, and from the looks of it has got the character right. The recent stills from the film show the actor looking every bit the no-nonsense police officer. Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead in the film which has camera by Sathyan Sooriyan of Maya fame.
Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru is being produced by SR Prabhu's DreamWarrior Pictures and is speculated to release theatrically in September 2017.
